I was going to create a blog devoted exclusively to The Beatles, but for some reason, Blogger wouldn't let me.  Maybe I have too many blogs.  Maybe I met my limit.

The Beatles are certainly worthy of discussion.  Many books have been written about them, and they now teach college courses about The Fab Four.  I'm not kidding.  One woman earned her college degree in Beatles studies.  Again, I'm not kidding.

I was very resistant in beginning to write about John, Paul, George, and Ringo, because their careers have already been documented.  What could I add?  Not much of anything.  However, there is appearing on youtube brand new rare footage that is popping up, and more material is available on them than ever before.  Things that people didn't even know existed.  It is fantastic.

So, The Beatles are very much with us, whether you like it or not.  They simply will not go away.  The reason is that there will never be anything else like them ever again.  They are a unique phenomenon.  There are many other performers who have achieved great success, but none have the staying power of The Beatles.

When you break it all down, The Beatles were a rock and roll band.

Note:  I was finally able to start a Beatles blog, which I am happy about.  I will talk more about The Beatles on this blog, but mostly in the context of 'Rock and Roll'.  For more intense, detailed stuff about the four lads from Liverpool, I guess go to that blog, but give me time.  It will take me a while to compile  material for some proper entries.

For some reason, Blogger would not accept 'thebeatlesswonders' as a domain name.  Go figure.  I thought that name was pretty funny, so I had to use something else.  Dang.
